The Mount Street Enclave

DEVELOPMENT OF THE MOUNT STREET ENCLAVE

* * *
The Mount Street Enclave refers to the area encompassing Mount Street and Carlos Place. It was, until a decade ago, home mainly to art and antiques dealers.

In 2006 Marc Jacobs opened his first store on Mount Street and this unlocked the floodgates to global designers seeking to capitalize on the area’s blossoming cachet. It is seen as a complementary address to Bond Street and also an exclusive residential address for discreet money, whether old or new. Today, the Mount Street Enclave is considered the beating heart of Central London with Mayfair House set to lead a new chapter in the area’s rich history.
